Your Heart Works For YOU to stay ALIVE
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle requires dedication and commitment. We know we need to exercise regularly for at least 30 minutes a day but also we need to understand what that really means. Basically, your heart pumps blood through your body at the rate needed for you. That rate can differ from high to low..we want to get your heart working less..meaning less pumps and more volume per beat (cardiac output and stroke volume) the less your heart works, it becomes easier for you to get things done and takes less time for you to get things done. This means you don't run out of breath as fast and get fatigue. We will use a simple basic strategy of monitoring your heart rate at resting and during activity. Over a course of 2 to 3 weeks our goal will be to see if engaging in aerobic exercises will increase your endurance (lower your heart rate during activity) and increase the function of your Circulatory and Respiratory System.
